The North Carolina General Assembly may vote as soon as next week on the anti-LGBT marriage amendments, House Bill 777 and Senate Bill 106. These two amendments would harm thousands of North Carolina families and their children. It would also harm businesses by intruding on their right to provide competitive benefits to their employees.
Marriage is already denied to same-sex couples by state law. This doesn’t change marriage - it attacks LGBT North Carolinians and puts their basic rights up for a vote.

Foo Fighters’ live show in Kansas City later this month is set to be picketed by members of the notorious Christian fundamentalist church Westboro Baptist Church.
The church, who have become notorious after they protested the funerals of fallen US soldiers with signs that read “God hates fags” and “Thank God for dead soldiers”, will be out in force outside the band’s show at the Sprint Center on September 16.
